Lets Go Somewhere!

Lets go somewhere, just you and me
Burning Bridges, breaking ties.
The world sees us as vagabonds anyway
So lets feed the frenzy, lets just BE!

We’ll travel cross-country in a blue convertible
Survive on soda-pops, and fries, and the odd mid-day Martini.
We’ll back-pack through the mountains, get to the meadow
and stare out at the sea.

Let’s pretend to be pirates
And laugh out loud
in the corner booth of your favorite Starbucks,
Then stiffle the giggles and drink camomile tea.

Let’s go somewhere just you and me
You stick a daisy behind my hair, and I’ll be you bea.
Let’s sing along to a broken guitar
That song about friends lost and found.

When no one’s looking
No one’s around
Let’s tell each other ghost stories
Shivering in a tent, pitched under the big be-jeweled tree.

Let’s go
Just you and me
Every day someplace new.
Necessity delivering us from the choice
Of have something to do.

Someplace where you are YOU and I am ME
Someplace where we are bound together
In moments that fuel an eternity.
Our kind, our tribe a mystery.
Always…
One hell of a story.
