You will survive.

Slowly…
Ever so slowly
Taking your own sweet time, my love
Let that long held sigh out.

When the winds howl
Let that be your song.
Run with the wolves
But don’t let them bleed your heart out.

Let your pounding heart now be heaven’s pain
Let the rain wash over all your doubts.
When the devil dances to your silent screams
Just open your eyes and see your dreams play out.

Lovely lady, put your smile back on.
Look! There’s all this love abound.
Oh dear girl, put a spring in your step
And turn around.

Come on, love…
Just turn around.

Let your tangled weave fly in the air
Brace your shoulders. Let your feet be bare.
Let the fat tears sitting on your lashes dance
To the tune of the beating rain.

All that you see
The milky clouds
The mossy greens
The sun
The half-moon hanging off the sky…

These are all yours to keep
Yours to hold dear
Like the ten thousand sorrows
And the ten thousand joys…

Buried deep in the fibres of your being that sit
And make the steel in backbone strong.
With a half smile, they wrap around you
And make you glitter
Like a beacon in a raging storm.

You said once, there is a lesson
Learnt through every strife.
Now here is this tale
Bursting at the seams of time…

Of a half-song. Lost tune
Part fable. Old lore.
The game’s all played out
Lost manuals. Secret doors.

Half-in half-out would never suffice
Take a flight. Step off the cliff.
Just dive.
You will survive.

The only way forward
Is finding the way back to being you again.
The veneers may fall off. The blinders may be gone
But the shine in your eyes will always be the same.

So, trust me
Believe me, when I tell you this
Oh lovely lady
It is all worth it…
Just dream on!

Dream your way back to love.
To laughter. To joy.
It is in you. All you
Within you…
Where the secrets of the universe all lie.

. . .
